In fact, the rare earth elements are abundant in the earth’s crust, but quite scattering. Therefore, though the demand of rare earths is a great amount, it can not be realized now since the exploit of rare earth minerals is not enough. Also, the distribution over the world is uneven, which is mainly in China, America, India, Russia, South Africa, Australia, etc.
